Although eyebrows occupy a very small area on our face, they are the most characteristic feature of the human face. They directly influence our gaze and facial expressions, demonstrating personal expression and image. Loss or thinning eyebrows for various reasons can lead to psychological problems and self-esteem issues, leading to a lack of expression and self-image. This is precisely where eyebrow transplantation comes in. It's the most effective and definitive approach to restoring a healthy, natural, and thick eyebrow look. While eyebrow transplants are generally preferred by women due to long-term plucking of eyebrows from the same area or permanent makeup, they also offer successful results for men who have thinned or lost eyebrows due to injuries or various illnesses.

How is Eyebrow Transplant Performed?

As with hair and beard or moustache transplants, single follicles are harvested from the nape of the head using the FUE method using a micromotor with 0.5-0.6 mm tips. The eyebrow shape is drawn and defined in accordance with the patient's wishes beforehand. The transplant area is numbed with local anesthetic without a needle, and there is no pain. The harvested follicles are transplanted using needles as thick as a hair follicle, using a 20-25 degree angle, the natural growth angle of the eyebrows, without opening any channels. Therefore, there will be no scarring or scarring in the transplanted area. The follicles should be transplanted singly.

The three most important factors determining the quality of the procedure are: no channel opening, a 20-25 degree planting angle, and the transplantation of only single follicles. Wider angles and multiple follicles transplanted with multiple follicles can cause discomfort due to the vertical growth of the follicles and the distortion of the natural appearance. 300 to 500 follicles are sufficient for an eyebrow transplant. The transplanted follicles are transplanted within a 3-hour period, and they fully grow within 3 to 6 months, achieving their former, dense, full appearance.
